Making other NBA Players Look Short? That has to be blasphemy!

Within the NBA world and the global sphere of basketball, the players are well renowned for their staggering heights. However, in a world of giants, there’s always a bigger giant.

The NBA is obviously the largest league in the world of professional basketball, with the Euro Leagues coming in second. However, the CBA or Chinese Basketball Association is what takes the 3rd place slot. This popularity can be attributed to one man, Yao Ming, the 7’6 giant drafted first overall to the Houston Rockets in 2002. Before the NBA although, Yao dominated the CBA which gained him national attention which is what helped him get to the NBA. Thanks to Yao’s popularity, other Chinese basketball players have been able to forge an NBA career as well, such as Jeremy Lin, who is pictured in this image as a teenager.

When many people think of tall NBA players, Shaquille O’Neal stands at the forefront of that list, and at 7’1 he’s obviously a massive human. Yet, even Shaq is dwarfed in height by a 7’6 Yao Ming.
